Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation

Founded in 1990, the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to improving the lives of individuals by developing projects in education, health and culture fields while contributing Turkey's social and economic development.

The foundation started its work by providing scholarship support to students who has high academic success requiring financial support, and within this scope, it has provided scholarships to more than 13,500 people so far. Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation continues to stand by the past and the future with the construction of schools and secondary school girls' dormitories in the field of education, rehabilitation centers in the field of health, restoration works aimed at preserving cultural heritage and a total of 64 donation investments.

Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation continues to support the development of nearly 4,000 girls with special life skills training program for young girls staying in girls' dormitories, scholarship support and different projects. Prioritizing rural areas in efforts to combat poverty, the Foundation continues to work to increase the general welfare of 4,000 people through an integrated rural development program that includes 14 villages and 5 hamlets in Bitlis and Kilis provinces. Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation crowned its investments in education with Özyeğin University established in 2008.

Developing Our Country In Every Field

It has built and donated 26 girls' dormitories, university dormitories, 17 primary schools, 8 high schools and 3 rehabilitation centers to date. Every year, more than 30,000 students benefit from these donation investments for education. At the same time, 4 primary schools in Istanbul were strengthened after the Marmara earthquake and 4,000 computers were donated to schools. In order to protect the cultural heritage, the Foundation has undertaken the restoration of the Galata Mevlevihane.
